Bamboo-leaf Oak (Quercus myrsinifolia) NEW! Rare evergreen oak (picture "real photo") from the mountains of southern China and Laos. One of the most beautiful oaks, grows to 10 ms, forms an elongated, conical crown. Its foliage is quite atypical for oaks- its leaves are narrow, lanceolate, young are reddish, then dark green and shiny. The bark is smooth, dark gray.

Japanese Red Oak (Quercus serrata) NEW! Rare deciduous ornamental tree from Tibet, China, Korea and Japan, grows up to 15 m in height, forms a dense crown. Has decorative leaves, similar to the leaves of Sweet Chestnut. Forms decorative acorns with fringed "caps". These acorns are edible after roasting and grinding, and are widely used in Asia as a substitute of the decaffeinated coffee. The bark is also decorative (dark grey and deeply cracked).
