Ornamental tree native to Korea, grows up to 12 ms in height. Has heart-shaped, dark green and shiny leaves, . In autumn they turn wonderful, bright colours: red, purple, pink, yellow and orange. Blooms profusely in the spring (large, white flowers 3 cm in diameter). Then forms small, reddish fruits, gathered in clusters (edible, but raw are unpalatable. Suitable for tinctures).
This tree likes sunny places and any average type of soil (except very dry or waterlogged), is very resistant to pests and diseases (aphids do not attack it). Completely frost-hardy. Rapid growth.
