(Aralia racemosa) One of the biggest cultivated perennials, native to North America, grows up to 3 ms, forms bushy thickets. Resembles a small tree, but does not form a woody trunk. This plant dies to the ground during winter, but new shoots appear in spring. Has huge, feathery, dark green leaves (circa 75 cm in length). In late spring and early summer blooms profusely (white inflorescences circa 40 cm in length). Afterwards clusters of dark-purple small fruits develop.

It grows up to 80 cm, forms dense clumps of stems with grey-green leaves. Flowers have a shaded colours (flower centre is darker or lighter than the petals) and are fragrant.
